Safety Information for Your MICHAELSON Watch

Thank you for choosing a MICHAELSON timepiece. To ensure that your watch remains comfortable and safe to wear, we kindly invite you to read and follow the recommendations below.

  • Please take care when putting on or fastening your watch to avoid pinching the skin with the clasp or bracelet links.
  • The bracelet or strap should fit comfortably around your wrist. It should be neither too tight, as this may restrict circulation or leave pressure marks, nor too loose, as it could catch on nearby objects.
  • If you experience redness, itching, irritation, or any other discomfort while wearing your watch, please remove it. If the symptoms continue, we recommend seeking medical advice.
  • Please do not wear the watch if the case, crystal, clasp, strap, or bracelet is damaged. Cracked or broken components may cause injury.
  • We recommend removing your watch before taking part in activities where it could become caught in clothing, machinery, sports equipment, or other objects.
  • Please keep the watch, removed bracelet links, batteries, and other small components out of the reach of young children.
  • Always observe the water-resistance rating specified for your particular watch model. Unless expressly stated otherwise, do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is underwater.
  • Please do not attempt to open the watch case, replace the battery, or repair the movement yourself. Servicing should only be carried out by a qualified watchmaker or an authorized service center.
  • For quartz models: used batteries should be disposed of safely and in accordance with local regulations. Button-cell batteries can be extremely dangerous if swallowed. If a battery is swallowed or inserted into any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
  • The metal case or bracelet can become hot, for example when exposed to direct sunlight, and may become uncomfortably hot. Therefore, avoid exposing your watch to direct sunlight or wearing it in places where it can get very hot, such as a sauna.

By following these simple recommendations, you can enjoy your MICHAELSON timepiece safely and comfortably for many years to come.
